Representative Divinity is a husband, father, grandfather and proud resident of Jackson, Mississippi. He is a graduate of Utica High School, Belhaven University, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a Christian minister, community activist, retired Army officer, and retired Federal Investigator. He has the skills and experience necessary to gather and analyze cultural, educational, social and demographic data, to develop local community programs and influence others to be effective in the community. Gregory uses his wealth of experience and knowledge to help achieve one common goal: to bring about change in the community.
Representative Divinity considers himself a community activist. He has hosted several water and food drives and is a Senior Administrator at New Vineyard Community Development Center, where he established preschool programs for ages 6 weeks to 4 years, after school programs for ages 5 years to 12 years, a private K-5th grade school, “at-risk” neighborhood programs for children in low-income areas, tutorial programs for students struggling with math and reading, and summer enrichment camps that house over 200 plus kids each year. Gregory also serves on several boards.
